Horry County illegal immigrant indicted

In violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a)(2).

COLUMBIA, S.C. --

United States Attorney Bill Nettles announced Wednesday that a federal grand jury sitting in Florence has returned an indictment on a Horry County man charged in illegal re-entry into the U.S.

Fidel Tolentino-Martinez, 40, was charged in a one-count violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a)(2).

The maximum penalty Fidel Tolentino-Martinez could receive is 2 years imprisonment.

The case was investigated by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney William E. Day, II, of theFlorence office for prosecution.
