The South Dakota Legislature will consider a bill this year that would make it unlawful for employers to hire illegal aliens.

The measure (HB1121) would be enforceable only if an employer knows that the person being hired is in the country illegally. Violators could be punished by fines of up to $5,000 for each offense. Although the offense would be a crime, the legislation does not allow violators to be imprisoned

I'll do everything I can to see that the bill turns into law.

The flood-load of e-mails I have been sending PLUS forwarding information to both the Sioux Falls Argus and RC Journal must be paying off because they are now attempting to find articles to bring about "legal immigration" as today's Argus shows.

The Argus Leader and the RC Journal have a history of "not clarifying" the status of immigrants. I don't know if it's a Gannett related issue or not but I think they do us NO JUSTICE by not fully disclosing the facts!
