A Honduran man who has been deported four times in 10 years was indicted Tuesday in U.S. District Court for illegally re-entering the country.

Victor Manuel Reyes-Chavez, 52, was arrested June 24 outside the Dakota Beef processing plant in Howard.

According to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement affidavit, agents entered the plant that day to arrest employees on criminal warrants.

"Shortly after entering the plant, several Hispanic employees fled the plant on foot through a rear residence," the affidavit says.

Agents chased the employees and apprehended Reyes-Chavez, who admitted he was in the country illegally. He had been removed from the country in 1998, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
