ATTORNEY GENERAL SHURTLEFF SAYS STRIKE FORCE WILL PROTECT UTAHNS FROM MAJOR CRIMES BY ILLEGAL ALIENS

SALT LAKE CITY, June 9 -- The Utah Attorney General issued the following news release:
Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff launched a strike force today to combat human trafficking plus violent and major financial crimes committed by undocumented aliens.
The multi-agency strike force will combine the skills and resources of federal, state and local law enforcement officers.
"This strike force will protect Utahns from some of the most serious crimes in our state," says Shurtleff.
"These criminals often target members of the Hispanic community and we will do everything possible to make it stop."
The strike force will also have a Fraudulent Documents Identification Unit to investigate and prosecute individuals who sell or distribute fake ID cards for people who are not lawfully living in Utah.
Utah Representative Brad Dee and Senator Scott Jenkins sponsored H.B. 64 to help fund the strike force.
The bill received bipartisan support and appropriates $891,000 in federal funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for fiscal years 2009 and 2010.
"These crimes are the number one issue for most Utahns," says Rep. Dee. "This strike force will do more to stop human trafficking, illegal drugs and violent crimes in Utah than anything that has ever been done before."
The Attorney General's Office will coordinate the strike force and invite officers of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to help in the effort.
Senators Luz Robles and Ross Romero, Utah Hispanic Affairs Director Silvia Thomas, National Republican Hispanic Assembly Member Marco Diaz and Hispanic/Latino Advisory Council Chair Carlos Linares were invited to a press conference today to answer questions about the strike force.

It sounds good but this has potential to absuse Americans.
I don't see why we need "special forces" to protect Americans against illegals. Just enforce our laws, send Anchors and their parents packing by giving them no education, medical care and/or welfare of any kind. And if illegals even dare to come back into our country uninvited, put them on chain gangs and/or use technical devices (like ankle bracelets that monitor them going out of range, etc) and make them work on public works projects and/or building housing for all the Americans that lost their jobs and consequently their homes because illegals got their jobs. Fair is fair!
I am skeptical of our government telling us that they want to protect us, inevitably, whatever they tell us is for our own good to protect us, turns out to be in best interest of their covert agenda. And not all all helpful but ends up hurting us. I don't trust this concept in Utah. at all.
