San Francisco to Boycott the State of Arizona, What could go Wrong?

The City of San Francisco is staging a boycott of the state of Arizona. What transgression might Arizona have committed to cause such a caustic and economically devastating amercement from San Francisco? They passed a state immigration law that mirrored a federal immigration law that has been on the books for over 50 years, and to the consternation of many, it is against the law to sneak across the border.

The Honorable Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco, has banned all city employees from non-essential travel to the state of Arizona. One exception is law enforcement officials investigating crimes, but—in botched Shakespeare—therein lies the rub: one city’s junk is another state’s law. The venerable brain trust of the West Coast, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, are taking menacing procedures for an economic boycott of the Grand Canyon State, and even boycotting that racist chasm the Grand Canyon, no less.
