Thread: Sanctuary cities and states will bear the lion's share of amnesty cost

If this amnesty passes those cities and states will NOT suffer the burden alone. They'll argue that since the Nation granted the amnesty, the Nation should share the costs. In fact it is such sharing of the burden that I believe drives the push for amnesty.

It is the federal governments responsibility to control the U.S. border.
They failed to do so and illegal aliens invaded every city, county and state in the country.
The feds failed to apprehend and deport the illegal invaders.
No city, county or state law enforcement officer or agency can deport anyone.
Only the feds can deport illegals.
Now the feds want to grant amnesty to MILLIONS of illegal aliens.
So why should any city, county or state have to pay for any of this?
If the feds have to pay for everything in the amnesty maybe they will have to reconsider.

Excellent common sense-type points JD2 but seems there is little common sense in politics.
