A Tea Party event is scheduled for Big Bear Valley Saturday, Nov. 14. This isn’t the fine china type of tea party, but rather a rally against amnesty for illegal aliens.

Planned for the corner of Stanfield Cutoff and Big Bear Boulevard, participants protest against granting amnesty to people in the country illegally. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants are asked to wear red, white and blue clothing and carry an American, military or Don’t Tread on Me flag, or carry homemade signs.

The Tea Party is open to anyone interested in participating. Tea Party protests began on tax day, April 15. They were organized across the country to protest a variety of governmental issues, and have continued throughout the country, organized by volunteers.
