    SC:Deputies Bust Suspected Cockfighting Ring in Belton

    Four men accused of participating in a huge cockfighting operation went before a judge Monday morning.

    Felipe Villanueba, Jose Granodos, Abel Sundoval and Jaime Chavez were all released on their own recognizance and given a court date.

    Deputies say they got a tip about a huge cockfighting operation possibly involving illegal immigrants. Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies say they found the operation in some Woods off Shady Grove Road near Belton on Sunday.

    Investigators tell News Channel 7 this was one of the most organized cockfighting rings they’ve found. Deputies say there were about 60 people packed in a home-made “fight houseâ€
