COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Most of the nearly 350 suspected illegal immigrants rounded up during a raid on a South Carolina poultry plant have been deported.

U.S. Attorney Walt Wilkins said Wednesday that about 50 workers arrested after the raid on Columbia Farms' Greenville plant were released and 25 were prosecuted. The rest were immediately deported.

Wilkins gave the update as the plant's manager approached arraignment on allegations that he knew illegal immigrants were being hired at the plant.

Barry Cronic and company officials are expected in federal court Thursday.

Personnel manager Elaine Crump already has pleaded not guilty to lying on employment forms. North Carolina-based House of Raeford owns Columbia Farms and has not been charged.

Were the 50 released not illegal aliens?

"I have seen alot of American's being hired where I work, And I have to say they aren't worth a flip. My back hurts, I have a headache I need to go home. The only time You see a MEXICAN is when he comes in to get a bandaid from where he has rubbed a blister on his hands from WORKING!!!!!! Talking about jail time look at any evening news, What race is robbing, shooting and doing crack.

Interesting most current comment on the source "article" stating U.S. Citizens are too lazy to work and are not good enough or at least not as good as what he calls "MEXICAN"; he is either an ILLEGAL EMPLOYER or a plant from one of the ILLEGAL'S Special Interest Groups!
