Thread: Chertoff still hopeful on Border Reform

EL PASO, Texas, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said he hopes Congress will soon revisit immigration reform for economic reasons.

Chertoff told a border-security conference in El Paso, Texas, that his department was now faced with having to enforce immigration laws that not only pull resources away from dealing with security threats but also have a negative impact on agriculture and other economic sectors that have become dependent on illegal migrant labor.

“I’m still hopeful that it may be revisited,â€

I told you so here comes another amnesty!!

Why is he out there talking about economy - he is supposed to be concerned with security and enforcing the law.

They have just admitted what some of us have known for years - that ME people are coming across the border and living amongst us disguised as illegals. It is his job to clear this up - not be concerned about the greedy people who are making money off hiring them.

Now I am FURIOUS !!!!!!! This Man needs to step down,get kidnapped,just disappear or we do a blitz to get him out of office.

What he is saying and doing is contrary to his duties as the head of DHS. He ABSOLUTELY has crossed the line.

He is now on my HIT list meaning phone calls,faxes,writing to those who may help get him ousted.

I wish Judicial Watch was not so busy cause I think they would take him on.I believe what he is doing is criminal !!!!!

Conflict of interest-telling our congress to give amnesty to people he is suppose to be removing. He is Campaigning for illegals !!

Who the H is paying his salary and the salary of the rest of the bums on Capitol Hill !! The Illegals ???
