Schumer Asks Arizona Give Time To Create Fed Immigration Law
Schumer Asks Arizona To Give Congress Time To Create Federal Immigration Law
May 11, 2010
by Personal Liberty News Desk
Schumer asks Arizona to give Congress time to create federal immigration law In an effort to quell the political storm surrounding immigration reform in Arizona, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) sent a letter to Governor Jan Brewer last week, asking her to delay the implementation of the new law for one year so that Congress can put together an all-encompassing Federal plan.
In the letter, Schumer commended the governor for taking action to address the nation’s "broken immigration system," but also said that he opposes the legislation "because it is wrong-hearted and is likely unconstitutional, but also because it will almost certainly fail to reduce illegal immigration into Arizona," according to Fox News.
Brewer has yet to respond to the senator, who is currently the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Refugees.
Meanwhile, President Obama last week reaffirmed his commitment to Federal immigration reform, asking Republicans and Democrats to work together to create a bill by the end of the year.
His remarks, delivered at a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the White House, contrast with some earlier comments that he made regarding immigration reform. Obama told reporters that "there may not be an appetite" in Congress for pushing through another bill by the end of the legislative year.

I hope Jan Brewer writes Schumer a nice pleasant letter thanking him for his concern, advising him that it's too little, too late, and by the way, she doesn't trust one word of communication or legislation coming out of Washington DC. She should add a sweet P. S. that reminds Schumer that we already have almost 1,000 pages of US immigration law that is constitutional and AZ's law follows the same laws already on federal books. Then she should print out a copy of the AZ law as amended, and staple it as an attachment so Schumer can read it and educate himself on the bill before he next speaks on the subject of the AZ immigration bill.
Wake Up States! This new AZ immigration law has the feds on the run right into a dead end canyon. If you want your reserved powers back to help your citizes and legal immigrants, now is the time to grab the Brass Ring Opportunity that AZ delivered to your doors with a big red bow on it.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

I hope and pray with all my might that this pig is booted out of office. He makes me sick to my stomach. He and Gutierrez. Oh and McCain.

It's hard to believe that these people are selling out the very same citizens that voted them in and pay their salaries. If we allow these illegals citizenship, then their reconquista effort will be much stronger. They will have millions of more people to vote in the racist reconquista-desiring traitors. This could destroy our nation... We cannot sit back and watch this happen

If Ariona would just start applying a surcharge to remittances at the same income tax rate that citizens pay it might recoup some of the money spent on non taxpayers.

All that needs to be done is to secure our borders and enforce immigration laws. And that can be done TODAY because we already have existing legislation for that.RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.
