Thread: Schumer: Immigration bill to be ready by Labor Day

I don't think calling ALL of the Judiciary Cmte. members is necessary. According to the rules, they have to have at least ONE minority party member support the nomination. Since there are seven Republican Senators on Judiciary they only need to get one to join in. But if those seven will hold together against Sotomayor she is Toast.

Plus I think we need to raise the issue that illegals and foreign citizens are lobbying our Congress, FREELY!! What an outrage. Have we no sovereign control over our own legislation?
Where is that 800 hotline number for illegals to call Washington DC?

I guess some American will be tuning in for the first time to his actions and words. It will work a bit for him.

It's the height of irony that Shumer picked Labor Day as some kind of unofficial deadline for this 3rd Amnesty attempt. Labor Day was made into a National Holiday more than 100 years ago to celebrate the American workers, and to give them a well-deserved day off of work.

If Shumer's Amnesty passes, this will suddenly legalize foreign workers, leaving 14.7 million Americans out of work. The AFL-CIO has also finally approved of an Amnesty for foreign workers. What kind of a Labor Day celebration is that?
