Count Floyd ... why would a recall result in a John Garamendi? Wouldn't there be a special election of new candidates? Or are you saying that another recall would by its nature this go around result in a liberal candidate being elected in the special election?

Just Curious on how it works out there.

Davis's recall was a weird event. We had to vote on two separate things:

1) Should Davis be recalled

and

2) If recalled, who should succeed him.

If it hadn't been for his fame as an actor, Schwarzenegger would have lost to the Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante, simply because the Democrats and hispanics outnumber everyone else in this state by a wide margin.

Since there is no comparable Republican candidate with "star power" in sight now, a new recall would guarantee the election of a Democrat, most likely the new Lt. Governor Garamendi.

On one hand he has a point that illegals are a burden to the health care system - finally someone admits it! But giving them health insurance isn't the solution, it only makes a bigger problem. And who's to say that they won't still manipulate the system when their plan doesn't cover what they want? They will just go to the next hospital, "No Habla" and a tear gets them better treatment than our citizens.

They'll have to buy it right?

Does anyone know if the plan is to make health insurance available that they purchase or is someone giving it to them and paying for it for them?

We need to clarify this.
