Man arrested in Gulfport wanted by immigration officials

GULFPORT --A traffic stop led to the arrest of man who was wanted by immigration officials for his illegal status, Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said.

Miguel Angel Hernandez, 22, who listed his home address on Connie Drive in Gulfport, was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop on Dedeaux Road.

Hernandez was charged with driving under the influence and other traffic violations. He was taken to the Harrison County jail, pending extradition back to his homeland.
