Gillibrand visits Woodside, calls for immigration reform

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York) stopped by the Emerald Isle Immigration Center in Woodside on Monday, where she advocated comprehensive immigration reform and touted the healthcare bills that are being debated in Congress.
Gillibrand called for reshaping U.S. immigration law, with particular emphasis on reuniting immigrant families and granting enough visas to supply American industries with workers. She said lawmakers must “make sure that we have the right number of visas for all the immigrants that we need here in this country, because so many of our industries rely on immigrant workers, whether you’re talking about agriculture in upstate New York or service industries in downstate New York.â€

Another 'Stealth' appearance. This has become the modus operendi of NY politicians.

She stood up for the American people before she got to Washington.

Actually, it would be more accurate to say that her advocating for the American people and rule of law ended BEFORE she left for DC, Ele.

Shortly after her "promotion" she was visited by, and met with, a small coalition of special interest and union reps. It was after this visit that she suddenly did a complete turn around.

My opinion?

She was paid off and should be placed under federal investigation to find out why she met with these people, what was discussed at this meeting, and to find out if her financial situation suddenly improved after this meeting.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York) has done a complete 180 on her position regarding illegal invaders in this country! This woman has either been bought off, is for sale, or had ZERO character or principles before going to Washington!!!

Gillibrand also believes money should still go to ACORN.

You betcha they have. That was all taken care of during that meeting, we can count on it.

It didn't get much coverage in the media, but she did an instantaneous turn around.....like the very next day.

She was bought off and/or threatened somehow. Period.

Azwreath, it actually took 3 days. Then she did a statewide tour meeting ONLY with special interest groups that advocated for 'immigrants'. I found out she visited Brooklyn the day after she was here. Not one single meeting was advertised ahead of time or open to the general public.

Sorry Gillibrand, incase you have not noticed "American industries" are dissappearing...we have no need for more jobless people, we already have millions of jobless Americans you idiot!
