    Sounds like good common sense legislation to me. Hard to find common sense in politics nowadays. Thing is once a program is established it is near impossible to remove it.

    The visa lottery program needs to be thrown down. It was always a sham.

    Instead the US needs to support immigration from countries that support the US and US ideals.

    This is exactly right Jean. Once you give something to third world miscreants, it's virtually impossible to take it back. There becomes an expectation which is second to none, and any attempts to remove it will be met with cries of "discrimination and racism," which is why I suspect this legislation will have a difficult time going anywhere.
