Activists and individuals hold a vigil to continue their support for the immigration reform. Several community organizations and individuals in defense of the immigrants and refugees hold a rally and vigil Thursday afternoon to continue their support and fight in favor of an immigration reform. The events coincide with the day the U.S. Senate reinitiates the debate on the amendments to the immigration reform bill which stalled in the higher chamber by partisan bickering two weeks ago.

ACORN, AMERICA PARA TODOS, CRECEN, FIEL, CITIZENS FOR UNITED FAMILIES and other groups have targeted U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison for what they call the unreasonable amendment presented by the senator from Texas.

According to the community groups the amendment proposed by Sen. Hutchison requires all potential applicants of the probationary "Z" visa to go back to the country of origin to apply for a temporary status. The defenders raised this question: Why do you threaten and attack immigrant families Senator Hutchison?

The organizations and individuals are calling for justice and compassion in granting status to the million of undocumented immigrants living in this nation without permanent or legal residency.

We need to remind her that she cannot take part in negotiating with groups that openly support criminal behavior. That is like negotiating with NAMBLA or Aryan Nation just becuse they show up on her door.

Their membership is comprised of a LARGE percentage of Illegal Aliens and therefore don't deserve credibility or consideration of their opinion!

Agreed. Additionally, once we kill this Amnesty proposal I think that the TAXPAYER FUNDING OF ALL OF THE RACE BASED GROUPS NEED TO BE REVISITED/DISBANNED.
