PHOENIX - Daniel was 6 years old when his mother sneaked him and his two sisters into the United States from Mexico.
He later graduated from the Arizona public school system and earned two degrees from Arizona State University – one in political science, the other in literature.
But the harsh reality of his status as an illegal immigrant broadsided his dream of becoming a lawyer. As an illegal immigrant, Daniel is barred from getting waivers, grants or any other financial assistance to finish law school, so he dropped out after the first year and is now working as an intern at a law office.
What frustrates Daniel is that nothing is being done to address the issue of students like him who were brought here at a very young age.

She said children have a right to a free public education, and the state should be trying to get more children into school rather than keep them out.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. The first is to gather information to show an adverse impact as a result of educating children who are here illegally, then revisit the case’s constitutional merits. Hethmon said the situation is different now, and it would be hard to argue that illegal immigrants have no significant impact on the educational opportunities of U.S. citizens or legal residents.
The schhol districts around the country have been dropping elective courses due to insufficient funds after providing standard K-12 and Limited English Proficiency programs.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. It's outrageous what this illegal alien nonsense is doing to our country, from our schools to our colleges, to our hospitals, to our welfare system, to our political system, to our job base and income levels.
Americans best wake up, wise up and put the hammer down, close the gates, turn off the incentives, punish the violators and deport every single illegal alien in the country.
There is no choice, there is no option, there is no alternative. That is our law, it's just law with a valid purpose, and any politician or government official on our payroll who doesn't support it, enforce it and stand behind it, needs to be removed from office and handed a pink slip with no severance with no benefits, no parachutes, no retirement and no severance pay. They can crawl to a soup line like the millions of Americans they've beamed to homeless shelters with these treasonous policies.

The vast majority of illegals' kids were born here; taxpayers have to pay to birth them, medicate them and educate them because of birthright citizenship.

HB 1868 in the US House of Representatives with more sponsors than Obama Care, check it out, it terminates automatic birthright citizenship for illegal aliens going forward, call your reps and demand they pass it. Call your candidates and if they don't support it find one who does.

This issue of "free" FREE FREE ,
the bucks STOPS here in AZ...FRIST.
Perhaps we will , by example educate the rest of the USA.
Are all so disconnected about this issue?
Our schools are ranked some the worse in the USA.
The teacher who do want to teach/ have been laid-off in the thousands .
Our school sys. are over $1.Billion dollars in the red.
Through racial profiling all supported by the Fed Gov't
school are forced /to teach sp/eng in the class rooms.
There is NO accountability/ of registering children and checking/ IF they have parents who are here illegally or not ....#1 priority
This entire system has been setup from the start/ as a system of failure.
For the teachers.
For other children who are getting short changed /and whose [parnets} are paying the tax base to support them /to get an education.

Arizona Sen. Russell Pearce: Make children of illegal immigrants pay tuition to attend public school

First, Arizona targeted illegal immigrants. Now the state's eyeing their children.
A state senator is looking to draft legislation that would keep children born in the United States to parents who are in the country illegally from becoming citizens, as well as making them pay tuition to attend public schools.
"My issue is protecting the taxpayers. You can't come here illegally and not be a legal resident and expect the taxpayers to pick up your tab," State Sen. Russell Pearce told the Arizona Capitol Times.
The Arizona Republican is looking to draft legislation that will target the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which states that, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
Pearce called this "policy" from the Constitution "a magnet that attracts illegal immigrants."
Separately, the senator wants children whose parents are in the United States illegally to pay tuition to attend public school.
"They shouldn't be a burden," Pearce told the Capitol Times. "You don't have a right to be a non-resident of this state and take advantage of the taxpayers of this state."
State Sen. John Huppenthal tried to propose similar legislation earlier this year, but it failed to pass.
Arizona began its assault on illegal immigration last month, when Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law a controversial bill that would allow state police to question the citizenship of suspected criminals.
The law has been criticized across the nation by police commanders and politicians who fear it could lead to racial profiling. However, polls suggest a majority of Americans would like to see similar legislation passed in other states.
Brewer met with President Obama last week over her state's battle with illegal immigration. The White House says it plans to send 1,200 National Guard troops to the Mexican border, as well as $500 million in funding.
