Take action and start making some calls now. I would start with GOP Senators such as Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Norm Coleman, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Arlen Specter.

....how are these DREAM ACT pushers going to stand in front of American college students and their families who are struggling even more to pay for college tuition and justify granting citizenship and access to federal, state and local dollars for financial aid, grants, loans to illegal aliens? The credit crunch has severely restricted access to college student loans and many kids in college already are in jeopardy of having to withdraw or postpone their studies unless they can find alternate financing ....and we are going to grant benefits to illegal aliens in particular where the vast majority come from nations where public university education is FREE like in Mexico? No way, Jose.

DREAM Act
The thing that the Dumocraps are underestimating is the anger of their own non-illegal constituents. As all of us on this forum understand, you can not ignore your constituents and expect to survive in politics. The far left Dems seem to think that people voted for them so they can implement their radical agenda, but they fail to realize is that most Dem party supporters would not appreciate seeing their kids pushed aside so some illegal can get a government funded higher education or compete with them for a hard to come by job.
But, I say let them screw up so the backlash can sweep them away, hopefully forever. These people are mostly airhead, channeling moonbats, or at worst, downright traitors.

The rising cost of college — even before the recession — threatens to put higher education out of reach for most Americans, according to the biennial report from the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education.
"Maybe the answer is a 'no frills' education ... just bare-bones classrooms, virtual libraries and dedicated instructors."
Frederick Singer, Huntington Beach, CA
Over all, the report found, published college tuition and fees increased 439 percent from 1982 to 2007 while median family income rose 147 percent. Student borrowing has more than doubled in the last decade, and students from lower-income families, on average, get smaller grants from the colleges they attend than students from more affluent families.
“If we go on this way for another 25 years, we won’t have an affordable system of higher education,â€
