Senate made decision for good of the people

The U.S. Senate voted on June 28 to defeat the immigrationreform bill. The American people were overwhelmingly opposed to this bill. It failed to secure our borders and granted amnesty to illegal aliens.
However, this vote was about more than illegal immigration. This vote was about the Senate listening to the voice of the people, not the voice of the corporations.
It was a jobs program to furnish business with an unlimited supply of low-cost labor. Nothing in this bill supported the American worker or legal immigrant.
Americans love immigrants, especially if they are hardworking and smart.
However, this bill would have immediately granted legal status to illegal aliens, even gang members.
We aren’t interested in a police action that would round up and deport 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens. We are interested in security first. Our borders and ports must be secured. Employers must be forced to verify every Social Security number.
Americans aren’t satisfied with the status quo. We expect our laws to be enforced.
The present administration has failed to secure our country, yet alone Iraq.
I hope that in the next election that readers would withhold their votes for any politician who supported this bill.
