US-born teen allegedly kills friend in argument over marijuana joint

A U.S.-born teenager was arrested in Juárez on a homicide charge for allegedly killing a friend during an argument over a marijuana cigarette, Chihuahua state prosecutors said.

The 17-year-old boy was only identified as Jaime R.A., alias "El Jimmy," because he is a juvenile. Mexican authorities said the teen is a U.S. citizen born in San Jose, Calif., to Mexican parents.

The teen is accused of killing Jose Angel Maciel Bañuelos, 19, whose body was found Monday. Officials said Maciel died of a head wound.

According to prosecutors, Jaime, Maciel and a third friend known as "El Cuñado" were getting high Sunday night when an argument began because the last joint had been smoked. Jaime allegedly told investigators Maciel attacked him and stabbed him three times with a knife. When Maciel dropped the knife, Jaime grabbed it and repeatedly stabbed Maciel.

Authorities said El Cuñado then dragged Maciel's body into the brush. When the boys learned Maciel was still breathing, Jaime allegedly used a rock to smash Maciel on the head. Investigators allegedly found Maciel's blood on Jaime's clothes.

Im starting to think that the marijuana that the Mexican cartels are dealing now may be laced with something that illicits ultra violent behavior like the face eating man near Miami.
