Senate Rewards Illegal Workers with Social Security Benefits

Illegal aliens who become official citizens of the U.S.A. (something that would happen next week if the president and most of the Senate could have it their way), will be rewarded for their longevity as criminals in the workplace.

The Senate shot down an amendment (S. 3985) offered by Sen. John Ensign (R.-Nev.) today that would have made it illegal for immigrants to count their years as illegal workers toward the 10-year U.S. work requirement necessary to receive Social Security benefits.

So much for justice -- the bill was defeated 50-49 (Jay Rockefeller (D.-W.V) didn't vote) which means that illegals will be rewarded for their misconduct and placed ahead of those trying to enter and work in America legally. ... p?id=14973

The GOP traitors are: Sens. Brownback, Chafee, Dewine, Lugar, McCain, Specter, Stevens, Voinovich.

But, as Mary Katherine Ham points out, there won't be any Social Security left for most of them anyway.

Specter is from my Commonwealth. I will do everything I can to make sure that this is his last term in Washington. What a traitor!

What gets to me is that supposedly that money is put into a "suspense...." folder, fund, whatever. It doesn't indicate who put the money there, how much for an individual, only the employer paid his portion. Or was that for FICA? At any rate, it's not attributed to a specific individuals earnings. Supposedly Social Security knows what nos. are real and what numbers aren't. Who belongs to what number and so forth. From children to adults, and those who have departed. If that's the case, they should be compelled to let IRS know the truth, so that the American's who have had their I.D.'s stolen by the illegals, aren't the victims and sought after by IRS.

I'm dizzy right now, getting ready to soak in a hot tub after listening to these senators (or should I say cry babies for some and kindergarteners for others) since this a.m.

FICA came into play as pertains to the illegals "paying their back taxes." That's only income tax. Not FICA or Medicare Something else they get away with for free.

They also shot down Sen. Ensigns S2611.

By shooting down his other amendment, S3985, is it true that all is required is their own statement that they've been here for whatever length of time they say? No "burden of proof" is placed upon them?

This just keeps gettin' better and better!

I was just watching Lou Dobbs who said there were a few Congressmen who were looking into legislation to stop this practice and allow agencies to share information. Does anyone know who the Congressmen are?
This issue is really making my stomach hurt...can a petition be started to SOMEONE...ANYONE about this?

    Jay Rockefeller (D.-W.V) didn't vote
His Real name is John Rockefeller IV, and he is the Heir to

    Standard Oil

He is still one of the main stockholder (his family) in these companies. He is one of the main forces behind these bills.

Let's be brutally honest: THe Only thing that matters is when you force Politicians to STOP and PAY Attention to You. Its time to think about ways to do that.

I believe Soc. Security knows true facts

If it is true, that the Soc. Security Admin. "knows" the facts, I cannot fathom the whys of them not righting all these wrongs. I don't know what it was that was referred to, but something about the law prohibits them from giving the IRS the truthful facts.

If I heard that correctly, there is absolutely no good reason under this sun, for anything prohibiting them from giving information to the IRS.

If Lou Dobb's said information was not being shared among the agencies, then I probably heard it correctly. I don't know who among the Congressman are perhaps looking into it but it sure would solve a lot of this illegal immigrant use of stolen Soc. Sec. Nos., fraudulent documents, etc. and they could catch the "felons" and we could be spared the agony of much of this.

It would also nip the bags of wind in the Senate. Boy, would that be refreshing.

Here's some important clarifying points relating to Senate Bill 2611 (as it now stands) mentioned in the article :

#1. Social Security Law is changed -to give Illegal Aliens granted permanent resident Status the right to claim all back payroll taxes they contributed to FICA and Medicare, State Disability etc. as their own that's including the time they were working in the US illegally.
    (IF they can prove it)

#2 And In proving their claim, the same group will be EXEMPT from prosecution and given Amnesty (that free pass) for the (unconvicted)felonies that they committed by fraud in order to work.
The felonies include producing fraudulent documents, forgery, identity theft, - as in Stealing Social Socurity Cards using ITIN's etc.

#3 If any US Citizen committed any of these felonies they would NOT be exempt.

#4 Everyone in the Senate who voted to table (Kill) the Ensign amendment which sought to preserve the Protections for the Citizens of the United States are listed here:
