The Florida Department of Law Enforcement unveiled a Spanish version of its online database of registered sexual predators and offenders statewide Thursday. Users can access the translated registry by going to www.flsexoffender.net and clicking on Espaņol near the top left corner of the Web page.

The Web site shows photos, names, addresses and other details about registered sex offenders and predators. It's also accessible via FDLE's home page at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/.

State officials are calling the translated registry the first in the country.

Updated periodically, the database contains details on more than 40,000 registered offenders and predators and is also accessible 24 hours a day by phone at 1-888-357-7332.
