Police: Man Stabbed Over Flatulence Problem

Hotel Mate Upset Over Gas Stabs Man
    Updated: 9:12 am EDT April 9, 2009

WACO, Texas -- A man was stabbed after causing a stink -- literally -- in a motel room while eating with a friend, police said.

Five men from the Houston area were sharing a Waco motel room Tuesday night, and two were inside the room eating when one had a flatulence problem, Waco police Officer Steve Anderson said. One man was so upset about the gas that he threw a large knife at him, cutting his leg, and then stabbed him in the chest, Anderson said.

The 35-year-old man was transported to a Waco hospital, where he was treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, Anderson said.

Jose Braule Ramirez, 33, of Houston, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. He was arraigned Wednesday and was being held in the McLennan County Jail on $15,000 bond and placed on an immigration hold, according to jail records. He cannot be released, even if he posts bond, until authorities verify he is in the country legally.

A jail spokeswoman who declined to give her name said she was not allowed to release information on whether Ramirez had an attorney.

when I read this it reminded me of how the orcs would act in the Lord of the Rings books. They would sit around doing foul things, arguing, drawing weapons on each other, and attempting to kill each other over perceived offenses.

Five working men in one hotel room? That place has to stink!

I was watching a show on TV the other night about prison overcrowding in CA and the inmates would talk about how they were packed in and could smell each other. They seemed to be saying that created a stress that increased the chances of riots and mayhem.

A friend of mine used to say "If you put enough animals in a cage- they will fight." Oh how true it is!

Excellent analogy W! I guess that makes Obama Saruman, pretending to be on the side of good, but in the meantime works with the enemy to destroy Middle Earth. In the end, the side of good prevails even though they were outnumbered. Excellent trilogy for those who haven't read them yet.

What about the other four people in the room? Since they weren't apprehended, are we to assume they were legal immigrants or American citizens?

They were probably illegals and the laws were not upheld like usual and they were probably released to commit some more crimes in America.
