More than $750,000 in drugs seized

Douglas, Ariz. —U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Douglas port of entry seized over 494 pounds of Marijuana in four separate instances this past weekend, arresting four persons in connection with the failed smuggling attempts.


In one instance, smugglers attempted to bring marijuana across hidden in the tires.


Margaret Baldenegro, Assistant port director for tactical operations in Douglas said, “I am very proud of the hard work and the attention to detail exemplified daily in Douglas by all of the men and women of CBP field operations.â€
