Sens. Kyl, McCain Demand State Department Apology to Arizona People

Last week, Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner insulted the people of Arizona by assigning moral equivalence to their new illegal immigration enforcement law and the human rights abuses inflicted by Communist China.

Sens. Jon Kyl and John McCain today sent a letter to Posner demanding he retract his offensive statements and apologize to the people of Arizona.

The senators wrote:

Dear Assistant Secretary Posner:

During the recent U.S.-China Human Rights Dialogue, you reportedly cited the Arizona immigration statute (SB 1070, as amended) as an example of a “troubling trend in our societyâ€
