There appears to be no end in sight in the number of criminal illegal aliens in Oregon who are involved in more than just illegal entry into our country. Here are six more.

Consider that there are now over 1100 inmates in the Oregon State Department of Corrections with ICE holds. That is a 20 percent increase in just 2 short years. The cost of incarceration alone to Oregon taxpayers is over $30 million dollars a year. The cost to victims is of course incalculable.

Six arraigned on meth charges

Family members were arrested Dec. 6 in Salem

Six family members connected to a methamphetamine production and distribution operation in Salem were arraigned Tuesday in Marion County Circuit Court.

The six were arrested Dec. 9 at two northeast Salem residences after detectives with the Marion County Methamphetamine Strike Force served search warrants there. They found 4 ounces of methamphetamine, Salem police Lt. Jim Anglemier said. Anglemier estimated the street value of the drugs at $8,000.

Arraigned on drug-related charges were Joel Rodriguez-Gomez, 35, and Daniel Rodriguez-Gomez, 37; their mother Rebecca Gomez-Gonzalez, 53; her sister Maria Gomez-Gonzalez, 39; Cristopher Gutierrez-Tejeda, 19; and his pregnant girlfriend Ana Calderon-Rosas, 18. The teenagers are cousins to the Gomez-Gonzalez family.

Maria Gomez-Gonzalez's children, ages 8, 9 and 12, were taken into protective custody by the Department of Human Services.

They all face plea hearings in the coming weeks.
