A 25-year-old Guatemalan citizen suspected of leading a fraudulent document ring was arrested April 8, following a multi-agency investigation between Guatemalan authorities and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Attaché Office in Guatemala.Full Story
April 15, 2015 – ICE Houston officers deport 2 Salvadoran men wanted for aggravated homicide
Two Salvadoran men wanted for the aggravated homicide of three men in 2011 in their home country were deported April 15 by officers with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Full Story
April 17, 2015 – MS-13 gang member sentenced to 30 months in prison for unlawful re-entry
A Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member, who was previously deported to El Salvador on two occasions, was sentenced Friday to 30 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for unlawful re-entry after removal. ERO conducted the investigation that led to the sentencing. They will remove him to El Salvador once he completes his prison sentence. Full Story

ICE El Paso removes attempted murder suspect, gang member to Mexico
Jose Alfredo Leyja-Celestino, 33, was handed over to Mexican law enforcement officials at El Paso's Stanton Street Bridge Port of Entry. Leyja-Celestino is wanted for the 2014 attempted murder of Marcos Feliciano Ramirez Chon, who was beaten, stabbed and shot. Leyja-Celestino is one of three men Mexican authorities identified as suspects in the case.
