Feds: Smuggling rings brought in hundreds of illegals to U.S.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say they've broken up 2 of the largest human smuggling rings ever to operate in the northeastern United States.

The two indictments charge 11 people. 8 of them have been arrested, including one in Korea. Three others are still being sought - one in the United States and two in Canada.

The arrests appear to have disrupted organized human smuggling efforts along the Border Patrol's Swanton Sector, which runs from Massena, New York, east through Vermont and on to the New Hampshire-Maine border.

The United States attorney's office announced the indictments today. According to the indictments, the rings smuggled hundreds of illegal aliens into the United States from all over the world beginning in 2004.

amazing... truly amazing. I wonder how many of hundreds of thousands these rings brought in

as a rule of thumb - If they caught 2 there are at least 10 that were not caught and more will spring up because of the in effectiveness of the US Government
