So now we're hypocrites???
This is an older article but I just came across it and don't know if it's been posted before. At least I didn't find it posted. But I just couldn't let it slide!
Private enterprise strikes first
By Raoul Lowery Contreras
February 19, 2007
The hypocrites are here; the hypocrites are here…The case for Bank of America comes to mind.
First, the hypocrites complain that we are being inundated by poverty-poor Mexicans that lower our standard of living. Secondly, that they shove worthy Americans out of entire professions and jobs. Thirdly, that Mexicans refuse to “assimilate.” Fourth, that companies that follow the rules and regulations that cover their industry are selling out when they do follow those rules and regulations.
According to studies done by the University of Southern California (USC, Dowell Myers, Demographer), poverty levels among Mexican immigrants peaked in 2000 and have been dropping since. Studies also indicate that the longer those Mexicans are in the U.S., the less likely they are to be classified as in poverty. Contrast that with the permanent poverty class in America that never leaves poverty.
With unemployment at record low levels, why is there anyone unemployed? In many California counties, unemployment is 10-15-20 percent below the full employment figure. In Orange and San Diego Counties, for example, there are at least 50,000 jobs available (even as both counties may have a quarter-million or more illegals working, so much for “displaced” Americans).
The Census Bureau reports that labor market penetration by Mexican American and Mexican national men is 85 percent, the highest in the country while non-Hispanic white labor market penetrations is a full 20 percent below that record number.
As for allowing poverty into the country, their rational for making that statement is that these illegals come here and work for “slave wages.” Since when is paying minimum wage paying “slave wages?” (see stupid statements by Congressman Charlie Rangel, D-NY on Lou Dobbs’ daily diatribe against Mexicans)”
To buttress the argument they claim that illegals all work under the table, that they are paid in cash and don’t pay taxes. Studies by government contractors of illegals caught and deported conclude that, in fact, 75 percent of those deported were paid with payroll checks with full with holding of taxes and Social Security.
The illegals seem to speak enough English to understand that if they apply for a tax identification number from the IRS they can file income tax returns without a Social Security number, they can open bank accounts, receive credit cards and in some cases buy homes. In addition to the IRS tax identification number, they need to produce a government issued identification document, which may be a driver’s license, or an identification card issued by a foreign government (Matricula Consular).
The hypocrites claim the illegals commit massive identity theft by using false Social Security numbers, but In the Big Picture, is this as serious as the billions of dollars in identity theft and credit card fraud that occurs every day in the country by non-Hispanic white scamsters?
The issue of the day for hypocrites is Bank of America. It announced that it has been running a pilot program in Los Angeles and Orange Counties (number one and three in size in California) for people without Social security numbers to obtain credit cards.
The conditions: that people have an IRS tax Identification number, a government issued identification document and a checking account with the bank for three months or more without any insufficient checks and a desire to have a credit card with a $500 limit. This is all within rules and regulations issued by the Federal Reserve Bank, the Department of the Treasury and California State banking laws.
This program is 100 percent legal. So what part of legal don’t the hypocrites understand? And, isn’t extending credit to low-income people a blessing, not a curse, for most? Talk about assimilation, what’s more American than having a credit card?
Here is a letter in the Los Angeles Times (February 16) from a self-described “superpatriot” who is the quintessential hypocrite and whiner. His arguments are arguably racist in tone and context, as are the tones of most of the complainers about Bank of America’s not-so-pioneering credit experiment. Citibank started the same program three years ago without a whimper from these people.
“Bank of America's search for new markets among illegal immigrants is nauseating. Corporations like Bank of America that wink at illegal immigration should at least admit that unskilled American workers harmed by federal nonenforcement (sic) policies are already the poorest and most vulnerable segment within the nation's working society. Does Bank of America's search for new markets include low-interest loans to those unskilled American workers displaced by illegal immigrants?” MICHAEL SCOTT, Glendora
How charitable this hypocrite is, feeling so badly for the “poorest and most vulnerable segment within the nation’s working society…unskilled American workers displaced by illegal immigrants…”
Those people he is so worried about used to live in New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta and they refuse to go home for the jobs currently available there.
That’s why illegals from Mexico are flooding into New Orleans and rebuilding the city and working at jobs Americans refuse to do, such as those at New Orleans Burger Kings that is offering $12 an hour, free food and a cash bonus after working six months. That is one of millions such stories in the USA that the hypocrites refuse to see or understand. Maybe if they weren’t so blind, they could see what rational, non-racist people see; i.e., what Bank of America sees.

And I included this from the page because I thought it was a good illustration of just where this guy's mindset is! As if we couldn't tell from the article

As far as Mexican rebuilding New Orleans, I think it's quite clear that Big construction companies with Fema contracts ousted Legal US workers and hired illegal Mexican.

Arrival of aliens ousts U.S. workers
By Jerry Seper
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
April 10, 2006
An Alabama employment agency that sent 70 laborers and construction workers to job sites in that state in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina says the men were sent home after just two weeks on the job by employers who told them "the Mexicans had arrived" and were willing to work for less. Linda Swope, who operates Complete Employment Services Inc. in Mobile, Ala., told The Washington Times last week that the workers -- whom she described as U.S. citizens, residents of Alabama and predominantly black -- had been "urgently requested" by contractors hired to rebuild and clear devastated areas of the state, but were told to leave three job sites when the foreign workers showed up.
"After Katrina, our company had 70 workers on the job the first day, but the companies decided they didn't need them anymore because the Mexicans had arrived," Mrs. Swope said. "I assure you it is not true that Americans don't want to work.
"We had been told that 270 jobs might be available, and we could have filled every one of them with men from this area, most of whom lost their jobs because of the hurricane," she said. "When we told the guys they would not be needed, they actually cried ... and we cried with them. This is a shame."
Mrs. Swope said employment agencies throughout Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi faced similar problems, when thousands of men from Mexico and several Central and South American countries -- many in crowded buses and trucks -- came into the three states after Katrina, looking for employment and willing to work for less money.
The number of foreign workers who flooded the area after the hurricane has been estimated at more than 30,000. Many of them have been identified by law-enforcement authorities and others as illegal aliens.
The Gulf Coast Latin American Association noted in a report that whether those workers will remain after the cleanup work is completed is not clear, but the longer those jobs last, the more likely it is that the workers will settle permanently. After Hurricane Andrew hit southeastern Florida in 1992, the association said, the construction boom attracted large numbers of Hispanic immigrants to several areas, including Homestead, Fla., where the Latino population doubled during the 1990s.
Many of the illegal aliens came into the Gulf Coast states not only from south of the border but also from California, Arizona and Texas, responding to the demand for workers. U.S. Border Patrol officials in the three states have reported an increase in the number of illegals apprehended.
Some of the migrants who did get jobs in the Gulf states also were mistreated, records show. Two class-action lawsuits are pending in federal court in New Orleans in which thousands of migrant workers said they never were paid, although many worked 12-hour shifts, seven days a week and were required to remove toxic contamination from hurricane-ravaged buildings.
Some of the named companies were working on contracts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other government agencies.
Government estimates put at 400,000 the number of jobs lost in the Gulf region as a result of Katrina, which displaced more than 1.5 million people, and many of those workers left the area to seek employment elsewhere because available construction, laborer and cleanup jobs in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi had been filled by foreign workers, including illegal aliens.
President Bush last week signed the Katrina Emergency Assistance Act of 2006, which extended for 13 weeks unemployment compensation benefits to more than 140,000 residents of the Gulf states who were displaced from their jobs by Katrina. Their benefits, funded by FEMA, had expired March 4.
Would-be employers in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, awash in cleanup and reconstruction jobs, faced little in the way of legal problems in hiring the illegal aliens after Katrina because the Department of Homeland Security temporarily suspended the sanctioning of employers who hired workers unable to document their citizenship.
Mr. Bush also had suspended the Davis-Bacon Act, which requires local contractors to pay "prevailing" wages, in the areas hit by Katrina to encourage reconstruction and cleanup.
"The men we sent to jobs in Alabama were local fellows looking for work, men who needed jobs," Mrs. Swope said. "After driving 50 miles to the work sites where they had been promised $10 an hour, they discovered the employers had found substitutes who were willing to work for less."Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Closing our BOA accounts must have had the effect we wanted, because BOA and those defending them are ticked off and calling us names. If they believe there's a fortune to be made from illegals and our accounts only represented a trickle, (as they claimed) have at it. Since they claim the loss of our trickle doesn't effect their pocketbook, why the rock throwing? I hope they were one of the lenders of subprime mortgages.

It's all about loyalty, loyalty to this man is all about "La Raza". Now mind you, if I, as a saw a group racists out chanting away, and based my loyalty to them only on skin color that they shared in common with me, what would I be? Ahhh....that's right, I would be called a racist!!
This is exactly what this man and all others like him are, they fail to recognize the crimes and wrongs by their own, simply because they are blinded by racist loyalties."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. The whole point was thrown out the window!

This guy has never been in the trenches and has no idea what it`s like to live in the middle of it all.
As far as he`s conserned, or if he`s even aware of it, hate crimes and hate demonstrations are something that we`re just suppose to tolerate.
Is`nt it funny that every single one of these air head Pro illegal activists "NEVER" mention the hate and disrespect illegals have for this country?------------------------
