ARIZONA DAILY STAR
Tucson police identified the victim of a fatal shooting on the East Side as Mexican citizen Luis Rodrigo Haro Gonzalez.

Haro Gonzalez, 33, was killed during an exchange of gunfire Thursday morning in the parking lot of the Presidio East apartment complex, 8485 E. 22 Street, near South Sarnoff Drive, said Sgt. Decio Hopffer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Police responded to reports of several shots being fired in the apartment complex about 11:15 a.m. and Haro Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hopffer said two cars - a black 2006 Lincoln Navigator and a tan Ford Explorer - were seen speeding out of the apartment complex's parking lot. Police recovered a firearm from the scene, but Hopffer did not know if it belonged to the victim or a suspect.

Police have not released any more information about a possible motive or any further details about the circumstances that led up to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
