ACRA, White House staff meet to discuss immigration reform
Local business folks got the ear of the White House last week, discussing immigration policy reform privately with President Barack Obama’s top advisor on domestic policy.
About 20 Aspen-area business leaders and board members from the chamber of commerce met with White House domestic policy advisor Melody Barnes on Monday, June 27. Barnes was in town for the Aspen Ideas Festival.
The Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) has discussed and lobbied for immigration reform in recent months, calling on Colorado’s congressional leaders to support legislation paving a way for the undocumented workforce to gain some level of citizenship.
Such illegal workers are a driving force of much of the resort economy, particularly in the hotel, hospitality and restaurant sectors.

If and When
If and When they are legalized, god help us, then they will be too costly to have as employees (cough, Obamacare). They will then be removed from these jobs or quit and begin taking other jobs from American workers. This will create a vaccuum again causing more illegal immigration/cheap labor to come into the U S to start the cycle all over again...
No thanks

Remember the good old days when candidate Obama promised there would be no lobbyists in the White House?

So they are spending more tax payer dollars, meeting with other aiders and abettors (aka "business leaders"), in order to devise ways to confer legal status to millions of invaders who entered this country in violation of our immigration laws! Is it just me, or does this sound like a complete violation of just about everything our government is supposed to represent!
