remember last year when the students rallied in Dallas one drowned and another's hand got chopped off.

the student who organized that one via myspace was later murdered.

I think at the very least schools should stop this because of the injuries and the death that occurred last year.

The K-12 schools receive their funding based on attendance. They have an economic reason to not encourage them. So I think that if they could stop them, they would.

Many of our students in town left school and marched around the streets carrying flags from Mexico. I'm waiting to see if a note comes home from the district telling the kids not to leave school. Schools loose tax money for every student not there.

Regardless, I have a problem with an activist group telling children not to go to school for a march.
