Suit Claims Reporting Illegal Workers Is Discriminatory
http://www.corruptionchronicles.com/200 ... legal.html
A group of immigrant rights organizations are suing the U.S. government to prevent enforcement of new rules that will crack down on employers that hire illegal immigrants.
Under the new measure, which was announced by the Department of Homeland Security earlier this month, companies that hire undocumented workers will be heavily fined and criminally prosecuted. Businesses that ignore warning letters about employees suspected of having fake Social Security numbers will also be fined and face criminal prosecution.
But a lawsuit filed against the Department of Homeland Security this week contends that the new rules are discriminatory and will lead to mass firings of legal workers. Even United States citizens will face discrimination if they look or sound foreign, according to the suit.
Filed in a San Francisco federal court this week, the 17-page complaint also names the Social Security Administration as a defendant because it says letters informing businesses of discrepancies between employee records and the agency’s database would violate worker’s rights and impose burdensome obligations on employers.

And exactly HOW would it effect legal workers?????????
Only illegals would be effected.......The difference between an immigrant and an illegal alien is the equivalent of the difference between a burglar and a houseguest. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Yet more paranoia, orchestrated and brought to you by big business, big labor, and big government! I see this fear-mongering as another sign of their desperation to preserve their power now that the American people have had enough of them!

If your SSN is mistakenly triggered by no-match rule there should be say a 30 day period before it must be enforced. That would give employees who are legal citizens the chance to go to their local Social Security office and provide proof of citizenship to correct any mis-reported no-matches.
Problem solved.

the point is they want to bog down any and all legislation.
What confuses the hell outta me is how can a person(s) that is not a citizen sue as if they were a citizen.... they seem to contridict themselves, or maybe they already view themselves as such... a citizen of the USJoin our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

What?
People complain about what has not happened yet. It's a shame when us American's become so selfish. If, you are legal and get layed off so what, you can get you're job back if you are legal to be here. So, don't wine about it if you get a letter just, go and fix it right away dummy! Screw big business! This, just opens the door for new businesses with higher wages! Peace.

Hey.
Illegals, are sick in the head to begin with! They, have no rights if, they don't exist! They never pledged to uphold and protect our constitution to begin with so, they hold no constitutional rights! This is already in place.

This should tell any judge hearing the case anything they need to know about the motivation behind this suit
But a lawsuit filed against the Department of Homeland Security this week contends that the new rules are discriminatory and will lead to mass firings of legal workers. Even United States citizens will face discrimination if they look or sound foreign, according to the suit.
I wish these idiots would stop with the hysterics already. How in the heck does a computer spitting out no-match letters discriminate against anyone who looks or sounds foreign? How is there going to be mass firings of legal workers when there is 90 days to clear up the matter and legal workers will have the documentation necessary to do so? Even if someone has to send away for a copy of something that they need, they'll be able to obtain it in plenty of time.
It doesn't take any type of superior intelligence for someone, including a judge, to realize that the only ones who are going to have a problem is illegals.
Filed in a San Francisco federal court this week, the 17-page complaint also names the Social Security Administration as a defendant because it says letters informing businesses of discrepancies between employee records and the agency’s database would violate worker’s rights and impose burdensome obligations on employers.
How? Discrepancies have had to be cleared up for how long now, and all of a sudden it's now a violation of workers rights? I wonder, would these same people be screaming rights' violations if, for example, we were talking about discrepancies which needed to be cleared up before illegals could receive SS benefits?
I just get so sick of this crap from these people and it is absolutely abhorrent that lawsuits can be filed against our government and it's agencies by nothing more than criminals who just want to be given across the board permission to continue to commit crimes unchallenged.
What I'd love to see is some organization file suit against the governments of foreign countries on behalf of US citizens who have been directly impacted by illegals.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
