    Suspect Identified In Metairie Murder
    Brooke Ericsson

METAIRIE — Jefferson Parish investigators believe Edmundo Cerda Anima killed 51-year old Sandra Adams.

Her naked body was found near the Soniat Canal yesterday. Investigators believe she was raped beaten and killed. She went missing Monday night while exercising at Lafreniere Park.. with her son Ryan and his friend.

This afternoon loved ones gathered at Adams' house. Her son Ryan says this has been a nightmare he was very close with his mother. Deputies say they tied Anima to the crime after they impounded his white Ford Expedition. Investigators say -- witnesses spotted that SUV at the scene of the crime. They dusted for fingerprints and interviewed witnesses.

This afternoon at a news conference deputies say they found evidence that put Adams and the car near the intersection of West Napoleon and David Drive.. the night of the killing. Then they say -- the Wichita, Kansas police department helped them identify Anima.

Investigators say the suspect isn't from here and might have already fled the state. Investigators are looking into his background to see if he has a criminal past and so far he doesn't have one, but Jefferson Parish deputies do belive the suspect is guilty of first degree murder.

Mexicans are infamous for their horrible treatment of women. Even their own president defamed women by referring to them as washing machines with two legs and arms.

Here's the Times article that butterbean referenced :
