Suspect in Starr County Man’s Death Arrested

MISSION - Sheriff deputies are speaking to a man accused of killing a Starr County man a week ago.

Hidalgo County homicide investigators arrested Adrian Arevalo Alvarez over the weekend. Details on his arrest haven't been released, but he's accused in the murder of Abraham Rodriguez Correa.

The 33-year-old illegal immigrant's body was discovered on the side of the road near Palmview last week. Deputies said they believe the murder was likely some kind of illegal deal gone wrong.

Authorities are now searching for Juan Medina, also known as Heriberto Mendoza and Juan Alvarez Mendez. He's about 35 years old.
