Illegal Immigrant Shot in Pinal County Desert

Illegal Immigrant Shot in Pinal County Desert

Two illegal immigrants say they were kidnapped, attacked and blindfolded, then left in the desert. One was shot.

The men said they were kidnapped at gunpoint from a home near 35th Avenue and Buckeye on Sunday. The captors demanded $3,500 for their release.

Isvan Tohala-Lopez and Fernando Lopez-Morales were driven to the desert in Pinal County off Interstate 8.

When the car stopped, they took off and Lopez was shot twice in the back. He was taken to Maricopa Medical Center in serious condition.

The suspects are still on the loose and are described as four or five Hispanic men in a newer black Cadillac Escalade.

"Even though there are no witnesses and no suspects are in custody, we do not believe the injuries sustained by Mr. Lopez are either self-inflicted or from a gun fired in close contact," said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Both Lopez and Morales admitted to being in the U.S. illegally for six years and had no idea why they were targeted.

If you have any information about this case, call the Phoenix Police at 602-262-6151 or the Pinal County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-420-8689.

OH O! DO I hear victims?

If you help us find them and prosecute them we will let you stay.
This is where it is stupid, It wouldn't be going on if you pick them all up and throw them back and lock the borders down and line up and shoot whoever tries to come back illegally. That may take awhile for them to understand that we are no longer buying into their boohoo we are here for a better life,we have family we take care of and my favorite We mean no harm we just want to work.
The states will always have a drug problem with or without the Mexicans.
But all that good ole drug money the government makes when they bust them before taking the money back to Mexico is what the government will miss if you shut down the border..What happens to all that money anyways?
Oh I know some of it helps to fight the drug runners LOL But that is never ending until they shut down the border and line it up with enforcement.

Only kidnapped and shot in the back? And dumped on 8?
That it? Aw they were just funning around with them.
I mean shucks until we get a good ole dcapitation, or
find headless bodies, maybe a few grenades going off.
Theres nothing to see here. Childs play. No problem.
    More secure than ever.

First off since I live here I know the area of 35th avenue and Buckeye. It is heavily populated by Hispanics including numerous illegal aliens. Kidnappings and home invasions of Mexicans by Mexicans is not uncommon in the Phoenix metro area. This is big money for these criminals and they know their victims are usually not going to call the police. I-8 in Pinal county is the area the deputy sheriff was ambushed by drug smuggers and is a well known area for it drug and human smuggling. Afterall, we have a nice federal warning sign to advise us U.S. citizens of the danger of being in that part of the desert national park.
"Where is our democracy if the federal government can break the laws written and enacted by our congress on behalf of the people?"

Well guess who gets to pay Lopez's hospital bill. Hey Lopez you and your friend should really hot-foot it back to Mexico. Those guys might come back and try again. Really;dont take any chances. Pack up the wife and anchors and leave.
