NOGALES, Ariz. - A television reporter and camera operator from Azteca was out reporting on an unrelated story when some fascinating video fell into their laps.

Two young men carrying what appeared to be bales of marijuana on their backs quickly scaled a border fence right in front of their eyes, and the camera. According to the reporter, border patrol were also close by the two men but did not see them.

The apparent smugglers did not see the camera at first and one made a call, perhaps to meet up with someone who could help transport the drugs.

Eventually, they did see the the camera and one shouted "No graben" (don't record).

The reporter stood her ground, though, replying "Solo haciendo mi trabajo, mijo" (just doing my job, kid).

The men eventually climbed back over the fence when they feared authorities were coming.

Border Patrol later released a statement regarding the incident saying:

"Tucson Sector Border Patrol cannot authenticate the video in question. We can confirm that our remote video surveillance system (RVSS) camera operators observed two suspected drug smugglers entering the United States illegally. Due to the potential hazards associated with an enforcement action at or near the border fence, the agents positioned themselves in locations to make enforcement actions safer for all parties involved. It appears that the subjects in question returned to Mexico with their suspected narcotics after realizing they would not be able to successfully remain in the United States without being apprehended.”
