Oregonians for Immigration Reform:



On June 15, the U.S. House of Representatives approved an amendment to the DHS appropriations bill that will cut funding for cities that have sanctuary policies for illegal aliens. (According to the National Immigration Law Center, these Oregon jurisdictions have sanctuary laws: Ashland, Gaston, Marion Co., Portland, Salem, and Talent.)



The vote was 234 to 189. Oregon’s Representatives DeFazio, Hooley, and Walden voted in favor of the amendment; Blumenauer and Wu voted against it. See roll call vote at:
