This thing makes no sense how it can even exist still. I'd think it would be easy when a SSN is checked to show date or birth and name and if they don't match or make sense it should be a straight denial. So why doesn't your SSN connect with date of birth and and full legal name of individual and if anything doesn't match and credit was still granted a credit beareau should be able to just say screw that lender and one should have an easy suit against such lender for not verifying the data.

One day they will steal the wrong persons info who will track them down, going to be some trial trying to convict a guy for beating the crap out of himself hehe. "No sir, I didn't beat up "name of illegal alien", I beat up "own name" which is myself and I'm dropping all charges against myself!"
