Thread: Tax rebates that need Ensign Amendment coming up to vote

Cnn reported tonight that the senate may vote on the tax rebates bill on monday or wednesday (because of super tuesday).We need to be prepared to call senator's offices.I called serveral today ,including Richard Burr's office that told me they had been getting calls about it all day.The Ensign Amendment would make the social security office check for muliple numbers,fake numbers etc before sending out checks which would keep some illegals from getting your tax money.Even if the amendment fails ,it will make senators go on record(including MCcain) one way or the other.

I can only speak for myself, but if it lacks the Ensign amendment, I want my senators to vote no for the Stimulus Bill.
