Tea Party holds rally on tax day

About 2,000 Tucson Tea Party members rallied in the downtown Presidio on tax day.

It's the second year the rally has been held on tax day and even though it was billed as a tax, protest , it did not live up to that.

There was a smattering of tax protest signs but other issues seemed to be more pressing.

Immigration, health care, gun rights and the constitution seemed to be more of a concern.

Arizona has a 1% sales tax hike on the May ballot but it did not appear to be a concern among the Tea Party ralliers.

There was also some concern about rowdiness but the crowd was very civil and well behaved.

Politicians were not allowed on stage to give rousing speeches but were encouraged to walk though the crowds to meet voters face to face.

I really like the part where politicians are not allowed to take the stage!!!
We have heard so much political garbage which often turns out to be an absolute untruth when it turns to voting for what it good for their constituents. They all have a decision to make: respect the desires of the employers (we peons) or the big money boys, who pump money into campaigns for legislatiion to be passed in their favor.
