Slidell police arrested an illegal Mexican immigrant Wednesday night on charges of attempted first-degree homicide and armed robbery after he allegedly slashed the throat of an 84-year-old woman during a robbery in her home.

The woman, who was not identified by police, survived the attack, and according to Police Chief Freddy Drennan, is, “doing very well,â€

More elderly need to wake the hell up about this. They come from a time when your word meant something and a handshake was all it took to close a deal. My Dad is in his 60's and is still surprizingly gullible when it comes to trusting strangers. The man has been screwed over more times than I can count. I have finally got him to realize that IA's cannot be trusted and DONT hire them ever! Now he's so Pro American that he won't even shop at Wal mart anymore.

I think that until older people realize that an animal will eventually bite the hand that feeds them we will continue to see stories such as this.
