    NEAR SAN MANUEL - Seven suspected illegals are hospitalized after the vehicle they were riding in crashed following a chase.

    It all started when a Hidalgo County sheriff's deputy tried to stop a Chevy Suburban on U.S. 281 north of Edinburg around six o'clock Thursday night.

    The chase ended when the driver crashed on Laguna Seca road. Emergency crews had to cut the doors off the vehicle to rescue those trapped inside.

    Investigators say several suspected illegals also escaped into a brushy area.
