llegal Residents Arrested in Bath

State police in Bath and Steuben County sheriff's deputies stopped a tractor trailer and pickup truck they say were carrying illegal immigrants.

Upon stopping the trucks, police found three immigrants including Romeo Bobio-Cerrantes, Juan Gonzalez, and Alvarado Gordillo – all of Mexico.

The men were taken to border patrol on fake ID charges. The drivers of both vehicles were ticketed for numerous vehicle and traffic violations as well as transportation law violations.

I've always wondered how Homeland Security had the ability to differentiate between trucks with illegal aliens and terrorists.

Upstate N.Y. is not really known for being to friendly to illegals. I lived there most of my life. Until my move to N.C. People won't hire companies that employ illegals. So they don't hire them. Landlords in the country don't rent to illegals. You seldom see illegals there. (no jobs) You do see a few in the cities but thats about it. It is kind of a unspoken agreement. I was on the I-90 thruway a few months ago and a state police had a van pulled over all of the 6 occupants spanish were handcuffed leaning against the van with their heads.

It sounds to me like they should have all been arrested and deported, this is the kind of crap that makes me so mad, only 5 people and they can't deport, gee do you think they don't want to!

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Three illegal immigrants are detained after a traffic stop in Steuben County.

State Troopers and Steuben County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a tractor trailer truck and a pick-up truck Friday morning for an unsecured load. Investigators found three people in the pick-up truck were Mexican citizens and in the country illegally.

The drivers of the trucks were ticketed.
