Tennessee expected to deport 3,200 immigrants in 2018, study says

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A common misconception about deportation in the U.S. is that it will happen right away.

The reality is, illegal immigrants won't be sent away immediately unless they're found within 100 miles of the border and have only been in the country for two weeks or less.

According to one study from Syracuse University, Tennessee is expected to deport more than 3,200 people this year.

That is up nearly 50 percent since 2016.

Actually it should be:

The FEDS will deport 3,200 illegal aliens from Tennessee in 2018

because no city, county or state law enforcement officer or agency can deport anyone. Only the FEDS can deport people under current laws.
