An influx of immigrants. That influx has also increased tensions in some areas between longtime Hispanics and newcomers from Mexico.

    Growing up in Phoenix, and having many friends from New Mexico, I can acknowledge this first hand. The Spanish do not like the mexican nationals and become very agitated when you stick them into the same classification.
