Border agents find 3 bodies in S. Arizona

U.S. Border Patrol agents found three people dead in southern Arizona's deserts this week.
On Monday, agents found skeletal remains near the village of San Luis on the Tohono O'odham Nation, Border Patrol spokeswoman Dove Haber said Tuesday afternoon.
No identification was found with the body, she said. No other information was available.
On Sunday, Haber said, the bodies of two people were found in separate incidents.
The first was at 12:50 p.m. when an agent on the Tohono O'odham Nation south of Stanfield found decomposed remains. That person also carried no identification and no further information was available.
Also on Sunday agents near Elgin came across four illegal border crossers, Haber said.
One, a 25-year-old woman, told agents her father had died near Elgin in Santa Cruz County, Haber said.
Border Patrol agents, Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies and medics searched for the man, hoping he might still be alive. But, Haber said, they found his body about 5:15 p.m.
From Oct. 1 to June 30, Border Patrol agents found 109 bodies in the Tucson sector, Haber said. The Tucson sector covers the state, except for Yuma, La Paz and Mohave counties.
The federal fiscal year begins Oct. 1 and June 30 is the date for which the most recent sector-wide figures are available.
The number of dead found by Border Patrol agents from Oct. 1 to June 30 is 14 percent less than in the same period last year, the Border Patrol said in a news statement.
During that period last year, the bodies of 127 people were found in the sector, the agency said in a news release.
The patrol also has rescued hundreds of suspected illegal immigrants. So far this year 294 people have been rescued by agents, compared with 341 during that period last year, the Border Patrol said in a news statement.

This is sad. Despite the odds and the lack of welcome here they are still trying. The Mexican government must take responsibility for these deaths at some point. It's time for the Mexican government to take action to stop these illegal crossings!

I agree cvangel. Don't like posting news like this. I blame both the U.S. and Mexico governments for this.
