Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff will meet with Texas border leaders in Washington, D.C., to discuss border security and possible location for a border fence, U.S. Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn, both R-Texas, said.
The date of the meeting has not been finalized, officials said, and the identity of the leaders invited was not released today.
Hutchison and Cornyn had sent a letter to Chertoff in November urging him to meet with border leaders. The senators said they recently received a commitment from the secretary and the meeting will take place at Hutchison s Washington, D.C., offices.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
