I should have added the statesman.com, the first article referenced in this post, seems to be very quick to delete comments that are NOT PRO ILLEGAL!

Don't we spend enough tax money on LEP classes already. It shouldn't take these kids 3 years to learn English. Chinese parents bring their kids to America and they don't even allow them in LEP classes. They seem to do just fine learning English and passing classes. Special interest groups like Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund are going to bankrupt our educational system.
